Job Summary

Security+ Certification Required

Manages, sets upwardly, operates, and maintains the Personnel Data Systems (PDS), both military machine and civilian.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as a specialist in the implementation, maintenance, and operation of automated Military and Civilian Personnel Data Systems (PDS).
  • Provide advisory services, help in training on the technical aspects of PDS, and help users in the solar day-to-day operation thereof.
  • Supply commanders, managers, and support staffs with personnel-related information and information services via Discoverer and Business Objects.
  • Work with a broad variety of Hour systems to include; MILPDS, DCPDS, Discoverer, Business organisation Objects, Case Management System, Base Level Service Delivery Module Dashboard, Paris, PrintView, Oracle, MyBiz, My WorkPlace, PayPool, and Enterprise Output Director (EOM).
  • Work with  Military Personnel Data System (MilPDS), Defence force Civilian Personnel Information Systems (DCPDS).  Modernization DCPDS, Civilian Appraisal input/Retrieval Arrangement, Palace Compas, and Discoverer
  • Ensures file of authorized organization users and requests for resetting passwords are authentic; ensures all users are informed of organisation releases and updates
  • Network ambassador for system users; ensures authentic account management; administers systems security
  • Ensures customers with hardware/software issues are assisted
  • Ensures scheduled arrangement releases and updates, both hardware/software, are loaded and installed.  Ensures users are notified of changes/updates
  • Ensures products through the EOM system are received and produced
  • Analyzes and monitors output products to evaluate information integrity
  • Ensures trends with transaction registers information are analyzed, tracked, and identified; and findings are reported to higher level direction for activeness
  • Ensures Direction Assessment Products from higher headquarters are scheduled, produced, and suspensed; and ensures Privacy Act is applied
  • Ensures customers requests are evaluated, created/processed, produced/printed, and distributed; ensure Privacy Act is applied
  • Ensures system rejects are monitored, distributed, and assisted
  • Ensured personnel specialists and system users are assisted in understanding/using organisation management
  • Acts equally the liaison betwixt the Military Personnel Flying, Regional Processing Centre, Communication Centre, and Keesler personnel information bases
  • Ensures local tables are congenital, updated, maintained, and backed up
  • Ensure compliance with personnel and systems policies, directives, and procedures
  • Coordinates and schedules programs (to include, but not limited to:  training, briefings, etc)
  • Maintains data, and provides statistical reports on programs and operation
  • Administrative duties may include:  preparing and processing correspondence, reports, forms, reports, and personnel data arrangement transaction; operation office equipment (eastward.g. fax, photocopy, scanner machine); helping customers and answering telephones
  • Provides accurate and timely customer service
  • Maintains files of correspondence, directives, instructions, and other publications

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have bachelor'due south degree or equivalent combination of work experience and/or education.
  • 2 - 4 years administrative and data base management feel required
  • Security+ certification required.
  • Cognition of Oracle/Oracle install and  Distributive Enterprise Controller
  • Must possess valid State Driver'due south license; must take the ability to obtain and maintain a United states Government and/or United States Air Force vehicle driver's license.
  • Must take favorable National Agency Check (NACI).
  • Must have the power to come across the requirements for issuance of a computer network account (favorable National Agency Bank check and successfully consummate computer security preparation) or to obtain required clearances.
  • Familiarity with USAF and war machine protocols preferred.
  • Ability to lift minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members, customers, direction and support personnel.
  • Verifiable proficiency in Microsoft Part Suite and computer operating systems and programs required to perform the job.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
